Martin/Martin Inc. is well suited to provide professional civil drainage services. Our staff is very experienced providing planning, design and construction related services for stormwater projects throughout Colorado. These stormwater projects have included open channels, storm sewers, bridges, box culverts and other special drainage structures. Our services have also included floodplain delineation/modification (CLOMR/LOMR) for submittal and approval by FEMA. Similar to infrastructure design, Subdivision Platting focuses engineering efforts on the systems of the subdivision as a whole. Working with recent surveys, Martin/Martin’s engineers consider utility distribution, site drainage, historic flows, floodplains, easements, Right-of-Way and jurisdictional requirements when designing a subdivision plat. The Martin/Martin survey department has three survey crews equipped with the latest robotic total stations, conventional total stations and multiple GPS systems. Our surveying team offers a balanced combination of skills and experience. Team members have participated in a wide range of projects throughout Colorado and in other Western states. They have demonstrated abilities in control monumentation, ownership research, right-of-way research, topographic surveying, drainage surveying, CADD capabilities and project management. Project experience includes ALTA surveys, topographic surveying, utility locations, legal descriptions, final platting/subdivision documents, easements, right-of-way research, route surveying, preparation of land descriptions, preliminary and final design and construction layout services. Martin/Martin is committed to including sustainable and environmentally conscious design practices for all our projects. This can simply involve implementing minor modifications to traditional construction practices or material selection that are more environmentally friendly. We are also currently working with the National Park Service, National Renewable Energy Laboratory and U.S. Forest Service (as well as a variety of other federal, state and local entities), on several projects that are utilizing this philosophy that will be examples for the entire industry as to what can be done to provide a high quality product while minimizing its impact on the environment. We are accustomed to designing demolition and site reuse and recycling plans when appropriate on our projects which outline possible recycling and reuse plans for the existing onsite material. We have also prepared “sustainable site enhancement plan” for projects which outlines several of the sustainable elements that might be implemented to address the stormwater management or other water quality needs of the site.

Transportation is more then how we get to the office – Our engineers can provide the necessary expertise to analyze potential transit impacts related to proposed project plan alternatives. We offer our clients assurance that our findings and recommendations are cohesive with the existing area roadway network, and are consistent with other plans for a project’s region. Martin/Martin will work directly with the various associated review agencies’ staff (i.e., CDOT, municipal departments and adjacent municipalities) to create a coordinated effort for access and connectivity to the surrounding roadway system, and any planned infrastructure improvements and changes. These efforts could then be utilized to determine the potential impact to both the existing and future designated areas related to the project area.

Martin/Martin can assist in developing project conceptual designs so that proposed alternatives are realistic. We will provide the client with the necessary assistance in preparing applicable sections of a report pertaining to vehicular and pedestrian circulation and safety, identifying parking needs and utilizing available transit accommodations. Finally, Martin/Martin will be available to attend the appropriate project, committee and public meetings throughout the course of the project. Transportation services:

Martin/Martin has been involved with numerous small communities, national agencies and special districts in the planning, design, permitting and construction of wastewater treatment facilities and other wastewater related services. Our firm has processed many Site Location Applications and Preliminary Effluent Limitation requests through the Colorado Department of Public Health’s Water Quality Control Division. We have worked directly for several sanitation districts in the capacity of District Engineer while working within almost all Special Districts in the Denver Metro area. Our experience includes full master planning, improvement program derivation and implementation, GIS maintenance and mapping, sanitary design, construction documents, bidding, construction administration and project closeout.
