Civil and structural engineering services for this new, multi-purpose stadium on the CSU Campus. The project includes a multi-use athletic facility across a 16-acre site. The open nature of the 40,000-seat lower bowl structure allows the space below it to be used for a variety of program functions, including classrooms, stadium club, and football operations. A 47’ x 82’ free-standing steel-framed scoreboard extends 100 feet above field level.
Civil engineering services for the stadium included complex utility system design. Two separate storm sewer systems were re-routed around the new stadium footprint. A massive underground detention facility is located within the site to mitigate excess runoff and to protect downstream facilities during an extreme storm event.
