Martin/Martin provided structural engineering services for the focal point of a major mixed-use, beachfront resort development. The tower, designed by acclaimed architect Jun Xia, is an observation and meditation space created with a sculptured, lattice frame of stainless steel tubular members. The structure’s open frame supports an elevator and stair 187 feet tall, where a three-level platform is enclosed by a structural “glass jewel.” The lattice tower arches above the platform to a height of 266 feet.
