This 85,000 SF hospital serves the town of Salida and surrounding Chaffee County. The architectural design focused on providing a warm welcoming environment with site orientation and views focused on the greater context of the mountain valley. The facility features healing gardens, water features, private rooms, employee lounge, walking and biking trails, as well as separate circulation throughout the building for staff and the public. Since the original construction, Martin/Martin has provided services for two additional expansion projects on the campus, which encompassed LEED Certification criteria, a new entrance and road access, and future building expansion.
