Structural engineering services for the restoration and renovation of the Red Rocks Amphitheater performance stage, new concessions buildings, green rooms, a new visitor’s center, and terraces overlooking the iconic amphitheater. The Visitor’s Center project involved civil and structural engineering design of the 36,000 SF underground visitor center, including a theater, the Performer’s Hall of Fame museum, two restaurants, and two terraces.
We also engineered the complete reconstruction of the stairs along both sides of the amphitheater and realigned and reconstructed historic trails from three visitor entry points. The design meets ADA requirements for steep grades, and it mirrors the landscape of the venue to maintain its aesthetic and to minimize environmental impacts to the historic park.
