San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Expansion

San Francisco, California

We provided structural engineering design of 60,000 SF of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) panels for Kreysler & Associates, the specialty exterior cladding fabricator. The project made extensive use of direct data transfer from designer-generated 3D models to fabricator's CNC machines. Transition from originally-planned precast assembly to FRP resulted in considerable savings due to overall reduction in seismic mass. This assembly represents the largest area of FRP panels on a project in the United States.
