The Tivoli Quad redevelopment creates a multi-functional space capable of serving as a gathering place for students and public alike, providing a spectacular location for graduations and large public events that incorporate the 150-year-old building and the stunning Rocky Mountains as the backdrop. Services included the design of plazas adjacent to the Tivoli Building, evaluation of foundations, relocation and evaluation of utilities, grading/drainage, water quality and detention, and the reintroduction of a street grid. The designs incorporated consideration for future farmers market-type space and provided careful consideration of street types/configurations, paying particular attention to the pedestrian-oriented environment and how to safely blend the large number of RTD buses that access this portion of campus.
