In recent years, the United State Postal Service (USPS) noticed ongoing deterioration affecting the structural integrity of their parking facilities. With repair and renovation needs beyond typical maintenance functions, USPS hired Martin/Martin to provide on-call investigative engineering and repair design services for these structures. Since 2018, Martin/Martin has provided on-call prime services for the investigation, repair and maintenance recommendations, repair designs, and laser point cloud documentation of more than 120 parking structures in 34 different states for USPS. The portfolio includes standalone parking garages, basement parking, and roof parking at USPS facilities. More than $150M in expected structural repair costs; facilities range in size from 20,000 SF to more than 700,000 SF each.
