Martin/Martin provided civil and structural engineering services for a 3-story, 52,000 SF corporate office and a 1-story, 25,000 SF training center located on a 11.9-acre site. The project is the new North American headquarters for German-based Viega Group. Both buildings utilize a cross-laminated timber/mass timber structural floor and roof framing system. Civil services included underground stormwater detention, terracing of the steep site to minimize site grading and walls, and low-impact design to maximize stormwater quality.
